We actually had the same situation, but Outlook got acting funky so I set up a Gmail account for her.
We now have both.
Agreed on trust-respect. I find it hard to understand why couples have separate bank accounts.

We have separate email accounts simply because she likes Outlook Express and I like Gmail. We know each other's passwords, but we'd never log in without having a good reason and clearing with each other first. It's a trust/respect thing.

Addendum:
The playing cards thing is just propaganda to ease the minds of whatever group it is that's making nois about lost treasures.

It IS grievous that such historical elements are being lost in this latest conflict, but unfortunately it's truly secondary.

No...we can't "win this war on terror".

This is something that just isn't that simple. The world has been a-changing since WWII...in amazing ways, and the Middle East is finally having to deal with that fact.

Prior to WWII, the going means of government for the rest of the world was largely some form of dictatorship or monarchy/oligarchy. That all started changing post WWII, and change is painful. The historical ruling "classes" have been losing power.

Also, at one time Persia ruled the known world, so there's an "historical hubris" in the Middle East that it will someday again be the center of the world.

Pretty much all of the Middle East has it in for the Western world...while we act nice to Saudi, they are really an enemy of the US and the West-they TRULY have plans to rule the world, with the economic means and physical resources to try to do so. And their idea of decent respect toward others is quite different from ours.

Keep in mind that there have been, for decades, leaders in the ME calling for war against the west, the US specifically. How long should you wait when someone ANNOUNCES they're coming to get you. A direct threat, even in our paralyzed legal system, is considered a crime. Remember, these folks ACTED on that threat...so I think that justifies a brutal response.

Finally, Islam is beginning it's final conflict with the rest of the world, and we're seeing some of that today. This is a religion that teaches the idea that anyone who is not Muslim is less than human (more like an animal) and killing animals is not a sin, but rather a necessary thing. Go check it out, these folks are truly that nutty.

A basic tenet of military strategy is that choosing the time and place of a war is much preferred over having it come to your doorstep (which it already has). At least waging war "over there"
keeps those (who would come here to kill us) busily expending their resources THERE. Sad, but true.

And let's not start with the religious issues, both there and here. It's bred such an arrogance and contempt for humanity...

Oh yea...I'm from a military family and I have a brother who's been "over there" since the beginning of the first round in Iraq, when Saddam TOLD us he had "WMD"S ( a term I HATE) and USED the chemical weapons on his own people. So I have plenty of first-hand info from a very trustworthy source. And I'm concerned every day that my brother may not come home (recently had a close call). So part of me is screaming "bring the boys back home", but I also know that they are keeping my cowardly but safe back here.

So this "war" will be going on for generations-until Islam has been kicked back into a small enough corner to no longer pose a significant threat to the rest of the world.

Then we'll go after the other religions...

She said: This light switch thing needs correcting....I was at the light switch, he was sitting on his butt in front of the computer....to flip the switch would require getting up and actually moving; something "he said" doesn't do too often because it interferes with his blogging.
Wonder what Monday will bring when he brings me home from surgery. I'll be waiting on pain pills because he "needs to finish this thought".

My husband tells me to pay attention to the van, be a responsible vehicle owner, etc. So when the van makes a horrible noise, shimmy, grinds unusually or sputters, I immediately tell him. And he drives it and it behaves perfectly.

My van is like my children - always behaving better for someone else.
